Over the past five years we have shifted increasingly to open source technologies and now almost all of our site development is done using open source content management systems. We’re now committed open source advocates championing it’s many advantages:
- incredibly stable core systems with a vast array of plug-ins providing added functionality;
- no licence fees;
- a wide pool of available developers;
- and an open community which welcomes participation.
For CMS development, we use the sector leader: WordPress. WordPress is a lovely, user-friendly yet surprisingly sophisticated publishing tool.
What started life as a blogging platform is now making serious content management system waves. And we’re helping to create those waves with a tailored build incorporating all of our recommendations for best practice compliance.
