Collaborating with design consultancy Bond & Coyne we were asked by Winchester School of Art to bring the 2010 Masters graduate show to life and create an alternative year book. Utilising the multi-user version of WordPress, now built into version 3, we designed and launched a platform where every student could blog their portfolio and talk about their work.
Each graduate was represented on the site’s homepage by a uniquely designed 3×3 square. By uploading content to their individual blogs, the graduate’s square would light up. It would gradually fade over the following few days and would become bright again as further posts were added.
As the agencies involved we provided the framework and defined the parameters for the dynamic art generated on the homepage, but it was the students who created the pattern by contributing to their blogs.
The email campaign that was created to advertise the event was featured in Campaign Monitor’s email gallery.
