Junior Web Developer [Intern]
Adam V2 here! Adam Burt to use my official, legal name. I’m the latest intern at Base Creative Agency and I’m doing front-end web development for the team for 42 weeks. Fresh out of 3 years of Interactive Media Production at Bournemouth University I’m here to learn and get some real industry experience while at the same time hopefully contributing to the good work that everyone at Base puts out on a weekly basis.
My duties involve... Well, anything that’s asked of me really, because I’m happy to try anything. Mainly I’m here for HTML/CSS/WordPress/Testing, so I might make bits of your site work, make them look nice or just check them for errors and problems.
So far, I’m spending a lot of my time fiddling with issues in browsers and email clients to make sure everything looks and works alright across all the many things customers could have on their computers; from Firefox to Opera, from Outlook 2007 to Google Mail and everything in between.
Outside of working here my main interests include cinema and television, football and videogames.
You’ll also find me enjoying Bournemouth’s nightlife whenever I can get away with it, partying with the students while I still look young enough to blend in.
I’m originally from Cornwall and moved to Bournemouth for University purposes back in 2008. I’ve loved this town since I first stepped foot in it and the time I’ve spent here so far has been amazing, so let the good times continue!
I’ll gladly engage with you about any film, television, alcohol or videogame related matter. So girls, if you want to strike up a conversation, there’s your way in.
I guess in general I’m just a media guy – I like creating things/making things work, for public consumption and so far that’s lead me to web development.
